“The Golden Age of Couture: Paris and London 1947 - 1957″ is the name of a recently ended exhibition at Victoria and Albert Museum. The exhibition focused on Parisian and British couture between 1947-1957, a decade that Christian Dior described as the ‘Golden Age’ of fashion.

On display were stunning gowns and exquisite tailoring from designers such as Balenciaga, Norman Hartnell, Balmain and Givenchy, as well as Dior. A very interesting lesson of fashion history.

You can view here the exhibition’s dedicated website. You can also buy the exclusive book and cd.
