Two new concepts from United Nude witch I simply love: Cup and Fold shoe series. I would wear them all day long. The colours are so bright and it gives me a feeling of joy and happiness.
The United Nude Fold is, like the physical concept of the Mobius, about the fluent movement of a single strip. The strip folds around the foot front-to-back-to-front, like a scarf.
The United Nude Cup Boot and Booty are about advanced shoe making. A slick cup shaped molded heel integrates with the upper and gives the shoe an elegant and modern feel.

Moulded plastic in a pair of shoes that seems to me very uncomfortable to wear. Melissa shoes are quite funny most of the time but what I don’t like is the plastic that they use related to how the feet stand and feel inside it. But what can I say… fashion sometimes demand sacrifices. The question is: would you wear them?

And now some quotes from the press release:
The concept addresses the perception of wearing the shoe in motion rather than a static display on a shopping window.
The shoes emerge from the ground and climb up the foot and leg with a soft elegant movement. The plastic organic quality of the choreography adheres to the skin. There is an implicit sense of lightness that blurs the boundary between body and object.
Advanced computational modeling allowed us to develop the product and establish a dialogue with Melissa in order to bring the design to the production line. This challenging process employed 3D printing and rapid prototyping techniques as key tools for re?ning the ergonomics of the shoes.
